Preparing a useful error report
If you spot a possible factual error, gather the page URL, the exact wording in question and a short explanation. Include a link to supporting evidence when available. There is no need to send private medical records.

A correction is different from an update
A correction fixes information that was wrong. An update adds or revises information because the evidence or circumstances have changed. Formatting repairs and broken-link fixes should not make an old article appear newly reviewed.
Our correction standard
Veterinarians.org has adopted the following process:
- Record the report and identify the claim being challenged.
- Compare that claim with its evidence and obtain relevant subject review when needed.
- Correct confirmed errors and explain substantive changes near the article.
- Record the decision so future editors can understand what changed and why.
The publisher still needs to assign an owner for this process. No response deadline is promised in this draft.
