Accessibility support and current limitations

Accessibility information for Veterinarians.org, an independent pet-health publication.

Editorial preview. A complete accessibility audit and an owned reporting channel remain outstanding.

Features in the current design

  • A skip link moves past the header to the main content.
  • Navigation regions have names, and the mobile menu reports whether it is expanded.
  • The Escape key closes the mobile menu.
  • When the horizontal topic row has keyboard focus, the arrow keys scroll it. Reduced-motion preferences are respected.
  • Pages use headings and text links to organize their content.

What these features do not establish

HTML checks and individual features are useful evidence, but they do not constitute a complete accessibility audit. Testing with screen readers, keyboard navigation, zoom and real page content remains necessary. This preview does not claim full WCAG conformance.

The W3C overview of WCAG explains the accessibility standard used as a reference.

Reporting a barrier

A dedicated accessibility recipient has not yet been confirmed. Once that channel exists, a useful report will include the page URL, the task you were trying to complete, what prevented it and the browser or assistive technology used. The contact page describes the current limitation.
